Keep Your Finger on the Pulse of Your Network

Providing visibility into your network is one of the primary uses of our Threat Defender. With our latest Threat Defender release, we therefore implemented a notification feature that alerts you to all kinds of security incidents and network events. Now you can set up Threat Defender to send emails, desktop-notifications and general webhooks (usable for Slack and other systems) for events you are interested in. You can choose whether you want immediate, near real-time notifications or summary reports at specified times. You can also select what data will be included in the notifications. This way, you will remain up-to-date with what is important to you while effectively filtering the noise.

Also, we did a thorough spring-cleaning and streamlined a lot of code, both “under the hood” and on the visible frontend. This results in a faster GUI, a smaller installer and updater, improved network processing, and better maintainability. While the GUI may currently look a little rough, the next release will bring improvements in usability, new features and new deployment modes that will make up for it big time.
