What we do.

Our solution consists of a platform-independent threat detection and protection system. Our next-generation firewall offers inline real‐time correlation that discovers concealed behavior, patterns and threats by correlating security and network events across time and flows. cognitix context-aware packet-processing engine is capable of processing tens of millions of packets while correlating between all packets in real time and at wire-speed.

We know that humans are part of the problem but if given the right tools and information, they can be part of the solution. We know that in today’s world and throughout most of the network traffic transported over HTTP and HTTPS and with trends such as BYOD, perimeters have become porous and jagged.

There is no longer a clear demarcation between the perimeter and the internal network. We know that network security is no longer about detecting and monitoring but rather about analyzing and understanding. We know that effective network security has to be cost-effective and easy- to-use without compromising feature quality and sophistication.

Who we are.

cognitix is a startup based in Leipzig, Germany, with a novel user‐ and threat‐centric approach to network security. After many years of working in the IT security sector, the people at cognitix realized that the current network security products in the market do not address the real needs and pains of users.

At cognitix, we are developing the next-generation of context and content-aware network security systems. It is our aim to offer affordable and easily accessible products and solutions that address the real‐world requirements and pains of SMBs and large enterprises.

We believe that security is not about a single magic box but that it is an ecosystem of solutions sharing information and interacting with each other to provide integrated comprehensive protection across the enterprise. Above all, we understand that with the ever-changing fast-paced threat landscape any meaningful protection can only be achieved with deep network analytics. It is vital not only to protect the perimeter, but also the internal traffic from both external threats and malicious internal users.
